  1. From the album: MOAR STUFFS

This bowl was a process, to say the least. I threw it with whiteware clay, messed with the rim, and covered it completely with black slip. Then, I carved the dragon. I bisqued it, and since carving all those scales took away all of my sanity, I underglazed color onto the bisque, and re-bisqued it. Covered in shiny clear and fired to ^04. Dang thing had little crawl spots, grrr...re-fired to ^03 after adding a bit more glaze to the bald spots. Voíla! Sold it a few years ago for a stupidly low $150... *facepalm* I'dve charged four times that if I was thinking straight. Live and learn!

  2. How in the heck do you do that? Incised lids? Omg. Pleeeez tell! This piece is brilliant! ♥
  3. Awww, thank you! I love squishy kitty tummies. I wish I got to make cats more often...but, buns and guineas will always be my favorite! ♥
  4. Mine gets that fuzz, too. I just brush it off and stuff. It grows more on my plaster slab I use to recycle than the bucket, though. :3
  5. From the album: MOAR STUFFS

Meet Max, the polydactyl cat. He has lots of toes and a squishy belly. Fired to ^03.

Urns are always difficult for me. My animals are beloved members of my family, so making urns is really hard for me to do. However, it always really humbles me to know my work can aid someone in their grieving process. Max was the best friend of a boy of three until he was sixteen, so this piece had to be very, very special. Fired to ^03.

A memorial bowl of a lady's beloved bunny, Cinderella. Fired to ^03.
  8. HNNNNGHHHHH....!!!!! HOLY GORGEOUS. I am literally drooling. This is just spectacular!! EXQUISITE piece! I`d kill for one of these...Please come back to the forum! ♥♥♥
  9. Okay, that is serendipity in action. What a luscious diffusion of color! *drool*
  10. Thank you! I am really happy everyone is coming out of the woodwork and checking out the wonderful stuff here! Rabbits are so much fun to sculpt--I really love them. I have eight house bunnies that are spoiled rotten, and they are a huge inspiration to me. ♥
  11. Beautiful!!! Almost has a watercolor quality to it.
  12. Omg...Beatrix Potter is one of my most influential artists. You just totally made me feel like a bazillion dollars!!! ♥♥♥♥
  13. HNNNNNGHHHHH I LOVE THIS. Your work is so rad! This mug is soooo beautiful--I wouldn"t be able to part with it!
  14. I think "cup" and "bowl" are waaaaay too open-ended to try and categorize. Maybe "yunomi" or "beer mug" to narrow it down. Ooh! How about colors? Like a "green" or "blue" theme. ♥
  15. Heehee! This piece took me almost a week to underglaze, and was my finest achievement for a long time. I was seething mad when I found out it arrived broken! Gaaah... But, thank you! I really miss the softness of ^6 firing sometimes...♥
  16. Thank you! I have an english lop named Thanatos. ♥ He is really rambunctious!
  17. WOWEE. This is gorgeous!! It reminds me of old leather--what a luscious texture!
  18. Oh...my...guinea. This...this is pure poetry. The grace and elegance!!! It literally made my eyes misty. THIS IS AMAZING. ♥
  19. I wonder if the Admins might consider making the challenge its own section, like "In The Studio," for example! Lotsa people seem interested, so this has the potential to REALLY jam up other forum topics. It'd be a great way to keep things nice 'n tidy, not to mention easy to find! My topic suggestion is "heritage." Like, make a piece that's about one's cultural background! We have a pretty diverse group here; could be fun!
  20. Nothing in the world has a funnier face than a guinea! DEM CHEEKS
  21. From the album: MOAR STUFFS

This was a piece I did in college--I sure miss midrange firing. Sadly, the postal worker who delivered this big bowl to the lady who ordered it from me just slammed the box it was in on her cement porch, and my beautiful work broke in three pieces. :'( GAH... Fired to ^6 in a Skutt electric. White stoneware.
