  6. How could I find the name of the guy in the Pacific Northwest that is doing the acrylic like flow glazing? My results so far are quite mediocre and I could use whatever guidance I could get from him

  7. How is everyone? It has been a while. Just wanted to check in and say I love and miss you all! Fired my kiln today. First time in 8 months I have even touched a pot. Made me realize how much I miss this community. Hope everyone's pots are great and their glazes are perfection!

  14. Hello Bill

i have just joined this forum and on reading some of your postings I noted that you have, the same kiln that I just got. An estrin downdraft gas kiln with a perfect fire controller.

Do you still have this kiln and were  you successful in using the perfect fire controller.

i am planning to fire cone 6 white stoneware and cone 6 porcelaine.

Any advjse on the controller would be much appreciated

    Thankyou

  15. does anyone know how to remove the wheel head from a vintage Soldner potter's wheel? I mean the ones he made himself; round barrel body, spring loaded foot pedal.  There's no set screw under the wheel head which is like 3/4 " from the table top.  Thank you.

  16. Mark I was wondering if you had ever used the Wonderbat system.   I tried it out today, and it didn't want to stay seated in the opening, kept moving up and down.  This is my first time throwing in about 2 years and I have never thrown much on a electric wheel.  The next pot I got out a regular  bat and didn't have any problems centering it.   Does the square need some clay underneath it?  The wheel I got off of E-Bay came with two sets,  it would be a shame not to use them.   By the way I sold my kickwheel so we were able to set up the Brent this weekend.   I also bought a 3 cu. ft. Blue Diamond kiln,  I paid $250 for it.   It has a manufacture date of 1969 on it but has never been used,  it also came with $100 worth of shelves and stilts.   My small Paragon finally bit the dust,  it is around the same age but it is well used.   I like having a kiln that size for special jobs.   Denice
