  7. It is amazing how easy it is to make good pots when your only working with 1 set of glazes. You can see the colors and things happening as you make it. Rather nice.

  11. Friday is another glaze and load two kilns day

  12. Today is my anniversary of pottery three years now. I posted an image on the gallery with more thoughts for anyone who wants to read it. Thanks to everyone here for all your wonderful help, thoughts, and support. Without you all I wouldn't be a potter.

  13. Took a week off from clay and went Camping in remote Eastern Oregon with my newly retired wife its calfing season on the antelope refuges

  14. I had thought of applying to show five cups in the Cup: The Intimate Object show at the Charlie Cummings gallery in the fall. I was a bit intimidated by the resume requirement. Do they only accept artists with formal training and a degree? I was curious if anybody knows.

  15. I just finished welding up my kiln frame. Now I need to stack the chimney and make the door.

  16. Beautiful Sunday in Montana. Just about finished with our move from Texas. Next project is the outdoor kiln area..

  17. I posted the Answers to Quiz 7 today.

  18. just realized I have an extra week til my show in Nye. Great stress release.

  19. Off on a 5 day art show trip.

  20. So far I am really liking 75-104 utility porcelain. I formulated it to a specific set of limits in lieu of clay varieties. I can nearly pull up a bowl almost perfectly on the first pull. I pulled up a 4" x 10" cylinder with only one pound of clay. Think I will pug out 25 lbs here shortly, interesting properties indeed.

  21. packing up the last of my house in Texas. Driving a truck back Sunday-Wed.

  22. Two glaze loads packed up some for me some for galleries-dropped them off today.

  23. tis is a first for me, Threw in the morning trimmed in the afternoon and loaded that evening. Had to get the firing done. Lost three pieces out of about 50. But now I have enough to fill my allotted amount for the up coming wood firing. So happy to be getting some finished pieces soon. It has been a while since I broke down my studio in Nov.The electricity was connected to my kiln shed last Thurs. All kilns are functioning after their 1780 mile journey north.

  24. Got rid of 2 rubbermaid storage containers of porcelain, plus boxed raku clay and Armadillo porcelain. I have clay waiting for me in red Lodge, so I don't need to take more 1800 miles. Moving sucks.

  25. There's a job at Denby for a trainee lab tech developing glazes. Gimme please :D Also one as a craft potter but not sure I am good enough for that. Might send in a cv anyway.
