Solved! Steve Hecker helped. GEP, is it solved for everybody now?

Yes, it is fixed for everyone now. Thank you, Steve!

Dear friends. Thank you all very much for your prayers and positive thoughts. I love you!! Surgery went well but this time I had problems with the anesthesia and so I am not really up to par yet. But also this will pass. I am looking forward: now that I had surgery on both hands, everything can only get better. I am glad that I am not a squid... haha. See you soon again... Hugs

May I have your prayers and good vibes one more time, my friends? Tomorrow Friday, very early in the morning, I'll have my second hand surgery (left hand). I hope everything goes as well as the right hand did. Thank you all!

We are so not used to this heat! But, woohoo, today, after a thunderstorm, temps got down to 80F.
-
That's wonderful! You guys never get weather like that... how come you aren't allowed air conditioners? That's dangerous for the elderly in that kind of heat.

Guinea: we Swiss want to be the environmentalists of the world. AC is soooo bad for the ozone layer....

Back from a super masterclass with Marc Leuthold and Martin McWilliam in Germany!

I have been at the hand surgeons this morning and got an appointment for carpal tunnel surgery: September 25th. No working with clay for 3 month after surgery.... BooHoo

Best wishes for quick recovery ..

find a good phisical therapist now and do your exercises.
This is a small easy surgery-no sweat.
-
I'm overwhelmed! Thank you all so much for your kind words and your advice. I will keep you in the loop. September 25th I need all the prayers I can get from you. And to all who have to have surgery in the near future: all the best for a quick healing! Thinking of you too!

A kingdom for a cleaning fairy....

Two days without spam! Wow. Congratulations and Kudos to all the techies and to all who helped getting rid of the spam!

yaw- I do not have to check the site late at night now to report spams
-
You can find spam links in new member profiles. One thing you can count with spammers, they evolve and adapt.
-
And a reminder, in dealing with the spam problem, we found that a lot of "guests" from the same IP codes from overseas looking through posts and profiles. Anything posted is scanned; so be careful about posting personal information.
-
Those spammers are an aweful nuisance!! Go get some respectable work guys and you won't have enough spare time to get on our nerves!

This morning I worked 3 hours cleaning my studio from A-Z. Everything spick and span now. I just wonder how long this will last though.....

once I finish with my raku, I'll be cleaning the studio over to throwing forms for Obvara.Cleaning is always a good impetus for switching gears.
-
I cleaned mine two weeks ago and now I can't find anything.
-
Paul and Amy: till June 7, when I come back from my Italian studio... Marci: no switching gears here.... Chris: haha, I know the feeling...
-
Back in Switzerland with a rucksack full of great experiences.

Happy to hear that you are home safe Marcia. Let's try next year in K.C. to have more time together (not only in the booth). Do you have a story for the QOTW-thread?

Love Switzerland. Used to visit my sister- in- law in St. Gallen. And party in Zurich of course.

I landed yesterday evening in Boston, tomorrow I'am driving to Providence for the NCECA conference. Yepeeeee!

Just found an email from my supplier: Southern Ice porcelain clay is available again. I'am a happy camper!
-
I will be on the road Saturday. From Italy back to Switzerland. See you soon again....

There's a topic "Community Challenge Idea" in the Studio. If possible, everybody go there and give your input. Thanks.
-
I think I'd like to participate. Do they plan to say, at
3:01 our time, or 15:01 your time make a 2 lb. cup on 3,2,1? Go! Then, we are on the honor system, to make one in less than 20 minutes.
-
Alabama, I think no one would participate if the systtem would be 3,2,1, go - come back in 20 minutes... Did you already tell that you would participate? http://community.ceramicartsdaily.org/topic/7676-community-challenge-idea/

Chawans in the kiln....

Off to the IAC conference in Dublin. Will meet John there (happy dance)

try to get some air fanning it somehow. It will raise the temperature.
-
Pics of the pit as well as the finished ware are required! I hope you know that. Lol.
-
Jrgpots: just added a pic of the pit... >grin<

I wish everybody going to NCECA a great time and a lot of fun!

Awww, so kind Rebekah! How do you like it to be at NCECA? Overwhelmed?
-
Overwhelmed and fun. I have some pictures of your piece I will be emailing to you this week.
-
WooHoo, can't wait to see them. Chris did a few for me too. I'am happy you all took the time to take pics. Thank you Rebekah!
-
What happened to Norm? (just curious... he was a goldmine of ideas)

I think he's back under a different name, check out some posts for long chemical terms :-)
-
Denice,
Oooooooh...... But now you have me curious....
I thought there was more to it. There have been plenty of people, accused of being rude here, and at worse, they just have their posts edited. To be essentially purged from the boards, that takes a lot. I mean, they still let me post here, and I spew utter nonsense.
-
I'am intrigued too. Denice, come spill it out!
Chilly: can't find him....
Benzine: nonsense is not the same as rude :-) (just pulling your leg)
