I did focus more on gardening today. Planted pansies and geraniums. BUT I now better than to plant tomatoes too soon. Not yet, Must wait a few weeks. They'll be safe being portable.

We have bears and deer plus many turkeys and very short growing season. I hope to get a greenhouse together for the next season. In my old place in Huntley , Montana , I had a huge garden with irrigation. Corn, beans, beets, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, etc. I love gardening. Too many bugs and too hot in Tx. where we lived.Herbs were the only survivors.

  2. Saw a great pottery show in New Orleans, "Women, Art and social Change, The Newcombe Enterprise"

  5. spent a dreary day reorganizing kiln shed , and one corner of the studio.Threw some saggars, and recycled some clay. Made chicken soup just because so many people have the flu. I made it just in case..

      alabama

I like hot chicken soup on a cold day when I'm healthy. Soup loses it's

taste if you have the flu...might as well be drinking rock soup! When I

go to any store and hear someone coughing up a left lung on isle 3, I leave.

If the food is free, it isn't worth 4 weeks of influenza. Let's break bread

over a homemade ceramic bowl of soup while healthy.

  6. back in Tx. to fine tune things before selling.Have 3 showings this weekend. Thursday will be another start of the long drive back, but this time with matt and the dogs in a car. Meanwhile in Montana got invited to the Ceramics Invitational next year and a show in June in a nearby town of Nye.

  7. tis is a first for me, Threw in the morning trimmed in the afternoon and loaded that evening. Had to get the firing done. Lost three pieces out of about 50. But now I have enough to fill my allotted amount for the up coming wood firing. So happy to be getting some finished pieces soon. It has been a while since I broke down my studio in Nov.The electricity was connected to my kiln shed last Thurs. All kilns are functioning after their 1780 mile journey north.
