Disappointed (with emphasis).  When you open the kiln excited to see vibrant colours on decals (12 pieces) and what you actually get is grey on white.

I am out of porcelain.  I am out of clear glaze.  I do not want to mix more right now.  I discovered today that I need to change two elements due to glaze landing on them (I do not know how they have been firing so well) All signs are pointing towards hanging it up for 2017!

Had my first MS relapse in 10 years Saturday the whole right side of my body went numb.  My hands still work  so I can still stumble out to my studio and still work.  I guess it doesn't take too much to make me happy.   Denice

I am so happy with my work! I never thought I would say that this early in my career. Although I am still testing new glazes and new techniques. The majority of my kiln loads are finally being made to sell. How cool is that! Toot Toot!

I took a Shibori style fabric dye course. The concepts are useful for ceramics too and there are some common ingredients. Lots of fun!

Surgey went well. No pain 2 days later. looking forward to a complete and successful recovery...Thanks for your well wishes!

Minor hand surgery tomorrow to fix a "trigger finger". Will be out of the clay for about a month.

Just signed up for perspectives 2017 workshop with Naoki Izumi! So excited. These workshops are like an hour from my house and so affordable. I don't even know what it is about, but just to hear a master talk for two days will be beyond worth it.

First firing of porcelain is cooling down. Won't get opened until tomorrow late afternoon. Can't wait........

I made a large porcelain bowl. It is 14 inches tall and 22 inches in diameter. Think I need to support it for the cone 6 firing?

family health etc, etc has kept me away from clay. today will prob be dreamtime in my space.

It is amazing how easy it is to make good pots when your only working with 1 set of glazes. You can see the colors and things happening as you make it. Rather nice.

Having aa wrist problem and saw a doctor today. have to wait for a hand specialist July 26. Owie.

Happy with recent firing-highlights for me that I want to repeat/expand were making a rattle, matching spoons to trays, and finding a lighter palette that I like a lot. Also, the pics of my pieces are getting done!

I swear, I have a half track mind. Saw an ad for a local poetry slam, and read pottery slam. My first thought was "that could be an entertaining fundraiser."

Glaze fire IN! As usual on the strength of one good test I have done something new with a whole kiln load because apparently I'm insane. I think it's going to be fine, though. I'm 98% sure.
