Fired two glaze kilns today-was in the 90's around them as the day was a hot one. Two day cool now-hoping for fog
-
toast to your batch of pots! My kiln is currently glazing as well. oooh the excitement
-
It's gonna be 95F here tomorrow--BLAH! It's never that hot here this early in June. Gonna be a scorcher this summer...
-
Pretty warm here right now too. Didn't run the AC much last Summer. We may be making up for that this year, as it's already running...

Putting my feet up and watching it snow today
-
Me toooo. We have quite the blizzard going on. Glad to be home, not on the road, enjoying a warm fire and leftovers.
-
We are still in the 70's here, it is suppose to start cooling down this week. January and February are miserable, do you really have snow falling or did you buy a snow machine. Denice
-
no it snowed a bit then in am turned to hail then rain.. The snow was enough to snap enough trees to close our major 2 lane road to the east for 3 days. That was about 15 minutes from here at high altitudes

Glaze day again-two kiln loads to glaze and load today-spring is here as well
-
Good to see you're keeping busy. How is the hand rehab going?
-
I start pinching this week-no restrictions on the lifting with other fingers. wrist is now getting strong again. I'l doing wrist curls with weights. I cannot center much clay into upper palm yet for months so have learned to center using other hand parts and areas. Will throw some 2# pots today-still using hot wax and ice. only a week or two left with rehab.I'm almost out of greenware to its throwing time again
-
Good to hear...hang in there and before you know it, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

I packed up my small truck with every thing one needs to demonstrate pottery throwing .I am doing a live demo (11am -1pm at one of my organic market outlets in Mckinleville,Ca as its local products demo day . This is the 1st year my schedule has allowed this to happen.I have. not done this in 40 years or more

What are the chances of your shooting some video of your techniques while you're at it and posting them here? I and many of the Forum members would love to see you in your medium...
-
chances are zero-sorry I'm solo at this gig as my wife is in Colorado this week and I do not want to add my go pro to what I'm already doing.
-
Lucky people of McKinleville!

snowed last night-winter wonderland here this morning.Very rare for us indeed-into the 20's tonight
-
We got a ice storm overnight, it thundered and lightning and rain a quarter inch of ice. My son is visiting from Palau and is freezing. Denice
-
We should have snow on the ground, and a week ago, we did. Most of it melted over the weekend, and woke up to thunderstorms this morning.
Last year at this time, it was in the 60s and 70s!
-
We had another ice storm last night, we only had two cold nights last year. It is suppose to be in the high 50's next week. I only worked in my studio yesterday for a couple of hours, it was to cold and my heater wasn't cutting it. Denice

Filling gallery order and making stock for 2 fall shows
-
Another middle 60s day great for drying out pots-This past week has been great weather for pottery drying outside
-
Monday glaze day-been nursing pulled back muscle all week
-
ouch! Pulled the muscles down my right side a couple weeks ago, still need help loading the kiln and lifting boxes of clay. Hope you heal fast, hard to slow down isn't it?!!
-
Could not put socks on for a few days and no I do not heal fast at 65 anymore. I took this week off from glaze firing and am only moving lighter loads.I may take two days to glaze and load two kilns this week instead of 1

Another Glaze Monday
-
Get a TV in there! VOD is your friend. How many days a week do you spend glazing versus making?
-
I seem to glaze and load two gas kilns on Monday-at least every other week in my slow time. I did this last Monday as well so thats 5 days making one glazing . I'm doing a 4th of July show and have lots of extra stock-so my plan is take 3 weeks off from glazing-which is an extra week. I need to go fishing .
