  1. I like where you are going with these pieces. I do however believe you need to highlight the detailing; fades into the back ground too much.
  2. I hope you realize that you have a very marketable product line going on here? Given where you live, I would only promote these in local high end music stores. Selling these in trade shows will not attract the right kind of buyers, nor will you get the proper sales price. Very creative..a niche market for sure. Attach a niche price to these niche pieces.
  3. One of the more creative pieces I have seen in some time. Even picked up the veining in the leaf- bravo! Detailing makes all the difference in the world, when you do this kind of work.
  4. Not sarcasm: merely pointing out the limitations that are often self imposed. If we as a trade celebrate randomness in a form: then we should also embrace it in a glaze.
  5. Went through all your most recent gallery posts. Excellent eye for color, and even more so for "balance." Good range of color, and most are easily mixed and matched. You have arranged your pieces in an "inventory" manner: able to check stock levels, and availability.. My conclusion: a professional potter has been born I have zero doubts about your success. Nerd
  6. Found a small Olympic gas kiln that I can use for crystalline reduction. Now I have something to test stoneware clay bodies in as well; the missing link.

I am going to the Hawthorne mill later this week. Trying to arrange meetings with Gold Art and Red Art plants. Many products available that are not sold to us.

  7. Randomness is acceptable in form, but not in glaze? Are we sure about that?
  8. Wish this country celebrated pottery/art as much as Europe.
  9. How odd! I was in KC back in March and seen a lady who looked just like this in the lobby of the Marriott. There was a bearded guy with a ball cap there too. What a small world we lived in.
  10. Actually I prefer the 5% visually. The pin dot of deep green where the leaf would be attached to the stem is highlighted. To me that adds a great aesthetic, and follows what is commonly seen in nature.. My vote is for 5%
  11. by the way, you picked up the veining in the leaves perfectly- very well done. Perhaps the best I have seen in some time.
  12. New green below: fascinating color. Caught my eye immediately.
