Workshop in Kilnun coming upon Friday. It will be cool with the Scottish potters Association.

packing for colder weather in Scotland and my Alternative firing workshop May 20-22. Sounds like we're taking the high road over the mountains and around the river Clyde. The scenery looks amazing.They have 5 raku kilns ready to go. Will post lots of photos or maybe just la link to them.

Going to Argentona today to see a museum of traditional pottery. Then two ceramic artists will show us their studio and the lunch on the coast and home. Looking forward to a relaxing day.

apply the slip to greenware then the shellac and resist process. Bisque and glaze then fire. Slip comes through the glaze. -
The people for our Barcelona Tour arrive today. First full meaning is at 6:30 in the lobby following by dinner with Martin and Paola from E Torn. Now it begins!!

our welcome dinner was great. Really interesting group. Two people recognized each other after 40 years. They had gone to college together and ended up sitting across the table from each other.How amazing is that?

I am still experimenting. Raised the shelf 1 inch, raised the size of the chamber by 1 brick, lowered the firing temperature and slowed the firing down a little. Same chemicals as always. -
