  1. Well, I finally managed to throw a form over the 12" tall mark. Managed to do it without it wobbling and spiraling. Just think, in another two years I might actually be good at throwing.

  7. Today is my anniversary of pottery three years now. I posted an image on the gallery with more thoughts for anyone who wants to read it. Thanks to everyone here for all your wonderful help, thoughts, and support. Without you all I wouldn't be a potter.

  13. trying a quick dry method- involves trimmed mugs, 2 fans and outdoors in warm & unusually humid air for our area.

  14. Glaze fire IN! As usual on the strength of one good test I have done something new with a whole kiln load because apparently I'm insane. I think it's going to be fine, though. I'm 98% sure.

  18. I had thought of applying to show five cups in the Cup: The Intimate Object show at the Charlie Cummings gallery in the fall. I was a bit intimidated by the resume requirement. Do they only accept artists with formal training and a degree? I was curious if anybody knows.

  25. I am finishing chapter 3 on my clay formulation book. Each chapter is running about 4000 words each. I think it will take almost 9-10 chapters to throughly explain the clay codes. Wonder how many could sit through that many chapters on clay?
