Two glaze loads packed up some for me some for galleries-dropped them off today.

tis is a first for me, Threw in the morning trimmed in the afternoon and loaded that evening. Had to get the firing done. Lost three pieces out of about 50. But now I have enough to fill my allotted amount for the up coming wood firing. So happy to be getting some finished pieces soon. It has been a while since I broke down my studio in Nov.The electricity was connected to my kiln shed last Thurs. All kilns are functioning after their 1780 mile journey north.

Maybe (just maybe) I have found the magic bulltet: 3 days after throwing, my porcelain test body still had enough moisture left to trim easily.

I donated some pots to a raffle and there were several murmurs of excitement from friends. One even came up and bought a bowl that was't in the raffle - my first ever actual sale.

Got rid of 2 rubbermaid storage containers of porcelain, plus boxed raku clay and Armadillo porcelain. I have clay waiting for me in red Lodge, so I don't need to take more 1800 miles. Moving sucks.

This year, let's see if I can find the right cycle of work and stay in it. It's all about balance and consistency. Easy.

Threw some test cylinders from my high translucency formula this morning: much higher plasticity than any stoneware I have tried.

Anybody ever had their instagram account follow a load of random people? Mine has about 300 new follows that were not me, I don't think I have used anything dubious with instagram, no third party apps.

My library is looking better stocked, now proud owner of John Britt's High Fire Glazes and Robin Hopper's Functional Pottery.

Dang!! Thanks to everyone helping me get this done...especially Ron and the magic of the url! I now have an avatar I can live with.

Rain stopped and we had two days of 75 degrees-spring has sprung here now

Ordered 50lbs of commercial grade-refined hectorite today. This is calcium based in lieu of sodium based. According to specs it should be similar to V-gum T: this should be interesting.

SPRING WHERE YOU GO!? Just when I start enjoying spring and have my garage door open, a cold front comes in and I am back in the house hiding from my freezing studio and achy bones!

loaded a bisque and will fire on Sunday-mowed 1/2 acre of wet grass-over 50 inches so far on rain since Oct 1st

Ordered a 3D printer kit. So I will assemble it and make a clay stamp. Probably take about a week to get it.

Stopped at a lighting store yesterday and picked up a variety of pendant light shades. Mold time for highly translucent crystalline glazed shades.

Back from trip and 35 hours of travel-will take a few days to get right

Threw two whole pots today, then destroyed one.
