  1. A message from Alice (oldlady) regarding Terry (Pugaboo)
    "Terry Buffington, known to us as the vibrant Pugaboo, lost her husband on October 4 to a serious illness.  He had been ill and hospitalized for several weeks.  I know Terry would be glad to hear from her forum "family".  I am sure we all feel part of her loss and would like to express those feelings to her."

  3. Started off by getting my wheels down from their storage spot. Then it went to giving them a good scrubbing. It quickly became me taking them apart, to really scrub off the decades of build up and lubricate the necessary parts...

  6. preparing my kiln shed for the new lid with counter wieght for my large oval kiln. Removed everything in the rafters, and a lower rack system. Installing a new temperature controlled exhaust fan above the kiln.

  8. Threw my newly re-hydrated porcelain yesterday. Worked on making small pieces for lots of experimenting.. Worked with a welder to build the frame for my large raku kiln. I need that for larger pieces with even firings. But, today we drive over to Big Sky through Yellowstone.

  11. planning on re-pugging about 500 pounds of porcelain that I brought up from TX.It got to be too hard to wedge. Rehydrated it 2 days ago. Finished painting the kiln shed door and fixing where the snow melts leak in. Seems like a summer projects for most in town.

  15. Minor hand surgery tomorrow to fix a "trigger finger". Will be out of the clay for about a month.

  17. Just signed up for perspectives 2017 workshop with Naoki Izumi! So excited. These workshops are like an hour from my house and so affordable. I don't even know what it is about, but just to hear a master talk for two days will be beyond worth it.

  19. Circumstances have kept me away from clay for the last 2 months.I feel my creativity will take a while to return. Fixed by craving with a family holiday in France and found some excellent ceramics in Burgandy, and a nice bowl now sitting on my dining table. Hope to get back to the wheel soon...
