  7. Por fin! I finally get to finish a lot of raku pieces with the new air pen. I hope it works as well as I think it will.

  8. I opened up a bag of clay that I mixed, pugged, and wrapped over a year ago...I am more convinced than ever that age improves throwing (at least for the clay...hopefully for the maker).

  9. Why do pets have to take such a huge piece of our hearts when they go? :'(

  15. i am proud to be an oldlady. though not very ladylike, i like the fact that i am old. since i died on an operating table at the age of 33 i have made a lot of pots, some good, some OK. i hope i have hammered the rest. still a beginner, will always be a beginner, every blob of clay can become anything and so is a beginning.

  16. Taxes done. Brew for Obvara has been sitting for three days. SO today I will fire!

  17. Happy Pie day-not the eating kind. The numbers one!

  18. I have two very large containers of dried Coleman Porcelain staring at me. I really don't want to sound ungrateful for the 'gift'....what I wouldn't do for a nearby ballmill :)

  19. spent a dreary day reorganizing kiln shed , and one corner of the studio.Threw some saggars, and recycled some clay. Made chicken soup just because so many people have the flu. I made it just in case..

  20. Hope to get down to the Valley for one of your workshops. Please keep us informed as to what, when, where, etc. I think I could get a group from Rockport to make the trip or what do you charge to put on a workshop? Maybe you could come up here?!?

  21. Great day of firing on South Padre Island. Beautiful day, nice group and got 11 batches fired.

  22. Working with clay has made me a hoarder. I am always thinking, I could use that in the studio, or I could make a tool out of that and I don't throw it away.

  23. Preparing for a workshop next Wed. and throwing some new texture pieces. Hope to obvert fire in 4 days.

  24. Tomorrow is my first Throw-A-Thon... I have not had the chance to just set and throw for a day to see what i can do.. Tomorrow it is... many breaks included, thats my style :)~
