Going to find out what happens when darvan and a heat gun hit thin strips of colored clay. Disaster or glory?

I unloaded a batch of mugs yesterday - Some of the colors excite me! I have been making "pink shino" using coyote shino and rhubarb.

Ten pounds of clay makes a rather large mixing bowl...the process may be justification for questioning my sanity

Is still at the Biennial in Belgium. We had 1'200 visitors so far. Yay!

Having trouble getting pots to "glow" in raku firing. Any suggestions? Ihave had the drum kiln up to 2100 degrees and still no red or orange hot glow.

Considering postponing grad school another year

Presently in NS. Baddeck soon then PEI then home. Camping(motor home) with 87 year young Dad.

Returned from SD vacation yesterday. I will get some work in shop this week, but head for PEI with my father and his wife this weekend in his motor home.
