Those days when you wake up with tons of plans and do nothing. Bleh. Guess I will just work twice as hard tomorrow.

I am so happy with my work! I never thought I would say that this early in my career. Although I am still testing new glazes and new techniques. The majority of my kiln loads are finally being made to sell. How cool is that! Toot Toot!

A message from Alice (oldlady) regarding Terry (Pugaboo)
"Terry Buffington, known to us as the vibrant Pugaboo, lost her husband on October 4 to a serious illness. He had been ill and hospitalized for several weeks. I know Terry would be glad to hear from her forum "family". I am sure we all feel part of her loss and would like to express those feelings to her." -
Just got an order for some specialty glazed tumblers and mugs for new to open shop in Burlington VT. Its a friend who has a store here locally as well that I sell to .

Good Ole Bisque Firing. A large shallow bowl/platter, a few cups and another bowl. Pretty much an empty kiln tbh. I haven't had time to make a lot until today. 20+ mugs drying in my greenhouse. I will handle them tomorrow evening.
All of it in crackle slip. I think I might have found a better way to do it. 2 of the pieces have this new method and I think the texture looks at lot better.

Mixed up a porcelain and stoneware body with the high iron clay from the old brick yard. Already fired 100 gram samples, now for the 1000 gram samples. For some odd reason I sprinkled some 50 mesh grog in: get out of my head John.

Got back Thursday night from my La Meridiana workshop in Italy and visits to Florence and Certaldo Alto before the class and Faenza, Ravenna and Venice after the class. I sprained my ankle first day of the workshop, but it didn't interfere with my teaching, thankfully.
I wil try to get my photos downsized so I can post a few.

This is a test, this is just a test. I am trying to see if this (in Profile) is where one enters a status update and whether it shows up anywhere for others to read it. I made a dedicated Status activity feed but it does not show anything from anybody.

Going to start working towards entering a cup show in my state. Called SIP. Based out of Savannah. Fun times.

Found out about this pottery studio in Wellington NZ with a 24 hours access membership. Can't wait to move there in December and get all geeky about ceramics everyday

Is this "personal feed" the new "status/on your mind" thing??? Testing, testing!!

What happens when you work like a maniac and then go on a trip for a week and eat junk food and don't get enough sleep? A week of forced vacation while you have a bug, that's what. -.- Itching to get back to work.

Finally took the time to take photos of my new pieces and upload them on my website. Yay for productive mornings!

Threw my newly re-hydrated porcelain yesterday. Worked on making small pieces for lots of experimenting.. Worked with a welder to build the frame for my large raku kiln. I need that for larger pieces with even firings. But, today we drive over to Big Sky through Yellowstone.

planning on re-pugging about 500 pounds of porcelain that I brought up from TX.It got to be too hard to wedge. Rehydrated it 2 days ago. Finished painting the kiln shed door and fixing where the snow melts leak in. Seems like a summer projects for most in town.
