glaze still a problem. copper carb just not very strong since new delivery. there is glaze on the pot but the color is weak. this is being refired.

    glazes and such

lee, good use of shelves, you can add some in between by getting some metal rod and drywall or wood boards that are the length of the shelves you have. insert the rods into the holes in the uprights as supports for the boards and you can double the shelving in the same number of square feet. very useful for short items that otherwise would be stacked and harder to use.
  3. i might be having a senior moment. is this pot really old or is it an example of what you are able to make to look old?
  4. FUN! i do something similar but smaller and on a metal rod to put in flowerpots. try some as cows, horns and all.

  8. if you look at the many bowls on the slab roller in my gallery, empty bowls, 2015, you will see in the back the kind of thing i plan to do with these colors. the leaves are several shades of slip and now i have MORE!

  13. From the album: slips from little loafers

cannot believe results. some of the original mason stain colors are totally different from these results. will put names under them.
  14. From the album: slips from little loafers

results of firing slip tests at cone 6 oxidation. the white glaze on the right side is my standard Susan's white matte. it is from an apprentice of Charles Counts who taught me a lot of wonderful things about pottery. over a cobalt slip, the white disappears and leaves a smooth matte surface with the white only visible in the carved lines.
