Thanks all. There is a clear spot in the snow wave crossing Wyoming. I25 should be passable even at 7000 ft. If not it gets closed until further notice.
-
safe trip! Look forward to all the new home studio pics.

Slab roller is broken down and ready to load. I love Bailey equipment. My pug Mill is also ready. Took the lever and counter weight off, wrapped the pressure gauge as that got broken last move.
-
after a nice midday turkey dinner, continued packing tonight. Things are coming together.
-
for the Americans here, hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving today. Taking a slight break from packing to cook a traditional turkey dinner.

Everything will be all right Marcia! I am so excited for you. Montana is a dream come true, isn't it?!
-
yes. And downsizing is really a good thing.
-
We did that nine years ago and I often feel like we need to do it again.

here is a link to the potters attic. I am selling a lot of books. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10210747454141043&set=oa.1244449715614148&type=3&theater

-
Got some great pieces fired yesterday. still have some gas left. May get some more firings in the smaller kiln. I have to tear down my top hat to make way to move my big oval. Will post some results later.
-
one more day then raku my last firing in my raku kiln. Then disassemble, Get my oval on a custom made cart and move to the loading ramp on Dec. 12.
-
Surprised that I sold a lot of my Spanish pottery collection to my neighbors. That was the big seller today.
-
I am finding it liberating to get rid of so much I don't need, haven't seen in decades, and will not have room to store in our next house. Much of what doesn't sell will go to Library, charities and the dump.

My next move will be to ashes
-
It was great moving off our boat because there was no furniture, bed, dishes, or accessories to bring with us! Just clothes and some personal items. Letting everything go is awesome!

packing, sorting and getting ready for a garage sale. 2 trips going to the dump with AC vents that were left in the attic. Sorting through my Spanish pottery collection that I haven't unpacked in 27 years. There is a lot of things I really don't need.

Good luck with the move Marcia, after the years there I am certain it is a lot to overhall. best of luck!
-
Good luck! I know searching for a home with ceramic-friendly grounds has been fun for me. Glad you are making the move!
-
I know, why do we have so much JUNK?
-
laying out a map of new home to figure out what must be left behind. Also what I don't need in my studio like my old ball mill.
-
A blueprint of your shop really helps. I drew one up with all of my tables, wheel and slabroller in it when we built the house and shop. It's been 9 years and everything is still in the same spot.
-
I'm planning to make a scale model of my studio, which I'm finally setting up, with scale furniture so I can arrange it properly.
-
Not the kind of thing you want to keep redoing.
-
-
we will close today. then we start figuring what we can bring with us because we are downsizing.

Hacker: "So... Who should I go after? Defense Department? Political Organizations? Big Banks? Naw, I'll go after the Potters!!!"...
-
No they weren't going after potters. This was an attack on core internet infrastructure which put hundreds of sites out of action.
-
bad boys out there! Why can't they just leave us alone....
