tis is a first for me, Threw in the morning trimmed in the afternoon and loaded that evening. Had to get the firing done. Lost three pieces out of about 50. But now I have enough to fill my allotted amount for the up coming wood firing. So happy to be getting some finished pieces soon. It has been a while since I broke down my studio in Nov.The electricity was connected to my kiln shed last Thurs. All kilns are functioning after their 1780 mile journey north.

It was porcelain. Babu. I didn't like throwing it but the handles were good. and didn't crack. Very forgiving but I like Colemen better.

Trying to get everything finished and some things possibly shipped before June 10 when I leave for Tuscany V. Since we've had no one post on the thread besides myself and Holly, I am convinced there are no members of this forum coming along.

Glad to hear everything is going great

It can be a challenge getting 26 people from point A to point B in a crowded city.
-
I'm currently VERY jealous. Have a great time.

Two Alternative Firing Workshops in Sept. in Las Cruces, NM and Lawrence, KS are shaping up to be really exciting. Obvara will be part of both.

unpacking from three weeks on the road which included wood firing and a sod firing with Lorna Meaden, NCECA in Kansas City, and Taping an e-course in Saltillo , MS. My new used van made it in comfort.

I remember that van
-
Best thing about that van is the seats fold into the floor. Marko, I waved as I past Kingsville on my rush to get home.
-
LOL, so that's what that gust of wind was.
-
unpacking my studio and kiln shed. Even though it is below 0 F and we're shoveling daily, I am a happy camper.

Very successful morning firing raku. So happy. still leRning. I glazed a slab on the back side when I didn't like the front. usually I put nubs in the back. Anyway, the original side came out great second time around. funny how things work out..

vFinally got my big oval into the kiln shed. My neighbor used a Bobcat to get it off the truck and lifted it over the fence. Amazing. The logistics of moving this have kept me sleepless for many nights since we decided to move.

For most, they rest when all the furniture is moved in: not so for potters.
-
How are the cats by the way? Any pics?
-
They are cozy in the downstairs rec room.

waiting for the electrician, no more. I called today and he stopped by this afternoon. Work will be done by mid February. New separate meter for the kiln shed. 200 amps to cover my 3 electrics including the 90 amp oval. I am glad I saved up for the!
