I love these new handles. I tried the "ruffled" pie plates but that just wasn't me. But these art deco handles make me happy!

    Handmade Clay Stamps

These are some of my handmade clay stamps that I sell on Etsy.

I visualize this worn on a long chain around one's neck to avoid losing it. This was an idea from my seven-year-old nephew who made a leaf stamp and then made a hole in the handle "so it can be a necklace too". Brilliant child!!
  12. Bisque load this week, glaze load next week. I've been trying some new designs so I'm very excited for this round of firing.

Firing is elemental. Sorry, best I got on short notice.

  13. My niece and I were playing, "If I Had a Million Dollars". I said I would give her a private performance by her favorite band. She said she would give me a lifetime supply of glazes. Awwwwwwwww.

I'm in California, so if I had a million dollars I'd buy a one-room shack with an outhouse in the back yard and with the dollar left over I'd buy a soda.

I would definitely smile and laugh a lot. Then travel with my wife.

Joel: This made me laugh because I feel like I post tons of stuff being made but nothing ever appears to be finished. :)

I went and looked at your account (to make sure I was thinking of the right person) and I realized I only see maybe 1/5 of your posts in my feed. Grrr Instagram.

  18. @TLDinNC That is the break over carving. Love this glaze. Shows any kind of texture, raised or carved. @Joseph F. Thanks! I've found that this glaze needs 4-5 coats for the lovely lighter blue float to really come up. It does bubble sometimes but the risk is worth it for the color.

Signature on bottom of pots. Latte cup wheel thrown and slip trailed, glazed in Blackberry Wine.
  20. From the album: Pottery 2016

Wheel thrown in buff stoneware with speckles. Carved with wildflowers and grass. Underglazed with Duncan Concepts Bright Kiwi. Interior glazed with Laguna Dynasty Red or Peach Blush. Flowers in Peach Blush, Dynasty Red, and Blackberry Wine. Exterior aside from flowers left raw, although I dipped the first couple inches of the top and the handle in Laguna Clear Bright. Nicer to touch and put your mouth against.
