    deep orchid is a really soft blue. may try more colorant for purple. the cerulean blue is my favorite and i use it a lot.

    cannot believe results. some of the original mason stain colors are totally different from these results. will put names under them.

    results of firing slip tests at cone 6 oxidation. the white glaze on the right side is my standard Susan's white matte. it is from an apprentice of Charles Counts who taught me a lot of wonderful things about pottery. over a cobalt slip, the white disappears and leaves a smooth matte surface with the white only visible in the carved lines.
