  8. So, my fella is awesome. He found a grippy turnstyle thingy at a thrift store and got it for me. It has little padded prongs to grip cup-like objects for decorating, so I don't have to hold it while I underglaze! ^_^

  9. back for 4 days from Hawaii-loaded and fired bisque and two glazes fires.unload wens afternoon and drive Thursday to a show at UC Davis.Whole Earth Festival

  11. My wedding ring survived a batch of stoneware in the Peter Pugger...I always knew of my attraction to clay, but this takes it too far, methinks :)

Well from experience it will not srvive the kiln so leave it in the house next time you go to the pottery shed!

  13. You know its all about that glaze, 'bout that glaze...no bubbles (earwig for today, with apologies to Meghan Trainor)

  14. So, guess who literally found almost $100.00 worth of underglaze at a thrift store in a bag marked $5.00? And then won a $1.00 discount off of it? YEP; THIS guinea pig!! ^_^

  17. Currently contemplating how many yarn jars I can throw to avoid writing an artist's statement.

This may lead to a negative artist outcome!!

Throw you bowls whilst honing your statement, only do this if the throwing is coming easy today!

  18. Closing on my office/warehouse in a couple of more days. The question now becomes: what studio toy should I buy?

  19. Thinking about starting private lessons from inside my home. My health is crashing fast, and pottery is getting harder every day, but I have a lot of knowledge to share. :) I think I could take a couple students under my wing.

Will be rally fulfilling but you may find it more tiring than making your pots, but in a different way.

  20. Working on a design for an "Anti-Gravity" workspace mat. That way any dropped tools could be retrieved without bending over. Alternately, I could just use those things kids have to attach their gloves to their coats...

  25. finished two raku kilns yesterday but not the flashing idea. These are oil drum kilns with 1/3 cut off. Also added a burner holder. One is a replacement for my smaller raku kiln and the other is for a friend. the flashing ended up around the grapefruit trees for protection against rates. It seems to be working.
