Pres
I just finished my preliminary peruse of the latest Pottery Making Magazine. The article by Marcia Selsor was an excellent introduction to the Obvara process. Excellent pictures of pots with close ups of textures. A nice, but brief historical background, and a summary of the process. Thanks for your contribution Marcia, great work!
Marcia Selsor
Thanks, Pres! PC sent out a clip to members of the Obvara firing process from the new dvd about expanding the potential of a raku kiln.It is a good real time demo of the content of the article. The web link to others doing obvara are missing. here they are: http://www.marciaselsorstudio.com/obvara-gallery.html Do I really sound like that? Thanks again for the pat on the back. Guest Sherman
And now Marcia's DVD and video download are officially available. Here is a sneak peek at a free clip of her DVD that will be emailed out tomorrow: http://ceramicartsdaily.org/firing-techniques/raku-firing-techniques/marcia-selsors-tips-on-obvara-firing/ It's really pretty fascinating to watch these pieces change so quickly!
