I finally gotten my hands on the clay after more than a year and two hand surgeries. Yaay!

I got a used Venco (Australian made) vacuum pugmill. Just like the one I never used in Wellington because of pottery politcs... :-)

Back in the dark ages when I first started using clay, I don't recall anyone telling me to be sure to photograph finished work...see, it is ALL their fault

Silicon Carbide is arriving today. Going to mix up some test batches of some reduction glazes to experiment in oxydation chemically reduced! Lots of terrible glazes to come!

So, my fella is awesome. He found a grippy turnstyle thingy at a thrift store and got it for me. It has little padded prongs to grip cup-like objects for decorating, so I don't have to hold it while I underglaze!

After a month of conquering 4qt bowls, I'm finding myself much happier with 8 pounds of clay and just a 3qt bowl. Yes. That makes be about a 'quart low'...but we've known that for a while, right?
