I mixed 10lbs of Coma Clay, bisq yesterday. Pull them out of the kiln, slather some glaze on them, fire em up. First time to seriously test crystal results.

It is glaze firing day...I seem to forget just how hot it can get in the kiln room when the outside/combustion air is coming in at 95F+. The pots are reducing and apparently so am I

used my new tile racks fire Raku yesterday. very happy with the results as the tile racks. had them custom made.

I spent the morning spraying underglaze outside (and wearing a respirator)...just so you know, attempting to 'blow away' a bug that lands on your arm doesnt work well through a mask...trust me on this

I have two glaze fires going and one electric bisque-ocean time is over for awhile.

Second single firing! Not bad, not bad at all - apart from some warpy bowls but hey it's only throwing technique.
