The right side of this piece did not make it. The left side will be completed as the survivor. -
People have asked me about my Hidden Mask series, so I have inserted some comments on the individual pics in the gallery. I have been doing face-pressed pseudo masks for many years. This particular series is about "honoring the survivor", whether that be metaphorical or literal.

This is part of "honoring the survivor", which informs a lot of my work and especially the pseudo-masks. This one is referencing the aftermath of domestic violence. -
YEE HAW.............finally got the Status stream working and am getting new content! And I found the "Remove Stream" button---right in front of my nose, of course!!
Unloaded my kiln a few days ago-mostly pleased. Glazes were quite nice. It is the concepts and technical aspects of my pendants that I must refine. The better I get, the more I see the shortcomings in older work. I am glad I have no reservations about sending it to meet Mr. Hammer.

This is a test, this is just a test. I am trying to see if this (in Profile) is where one enters a status update and whether it shows up anywhere for others to read it. I made a dedicated Status activity feed but it does not show anything from anybody.

"Politics: the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power." I get dismayed when the misuse of the word and concept of "politics" serves to characterize a topic, about which there may be disagreement, as something that should be off-limits, which may serve to cut off the dialogue. I am not trying to be "too" serious or snarky---I just wouldn't want to see discussions of the new Forum features get jettisoned because of sensitivity about critique. So far, everything I have learned about the new system has come from folks who are providing us with tips and directions. Reading other people's experiences/questions is helpful as well. Without that input I know I would get frustrated, or lost, and end up feeling negative before giving it a chance. I hate having to learn new systems, it is hard on my remaining and aging brain cells, but upgrades are a necessity. I guess I'm saying I wish there was a forum topic on the pros/cons/"how to" of it--if not a Qotw--to ease the transition! OH GOOD GRIEF....I just remembered there IS a thread on the New Forum. I'll leave my 2-cents worth about content being (or not being) "political" here, since I don't know where else to put it. Moderator should feel free to remove it if (dare I say it?) it is too political LOL. -

I love my logo, if do say so myself! It makes me feel good-it is cheery. I am not cheery, so it's cool that I am represented in a way that great graphics can do! I used Fivver to aid in design & produce-for less than $50!!!

Getting ready for my next fire, around mid-month. So far, I have managed not to break any greenware except one pendant. I got every piece finished and glazed, and I completed glazing “No Secretsâ€- a porcelain piece in the Hidden Mask Series. I have addressed it with color and thoroughly enjoyed planning and placing the palette.

Congratulations, isn't is a great feeling. My husband just rewired my big Skutt, first firing came out nearly perfect.

I may get to put some smalls in the Discover Portsmouth gift shop during the summer exhibition (have 2 pieces in the show-both from the Hidden Mask Series-wall portraits). I'm going to submit a couple of catch-alls, some tea light holders, and business card holders. Pics in my gallery.

Disturbing how easy it is to see how fire fighters and arsonists can become mesmerized and seduced by fire-it is beautiful, and thankfully contained.

I made an album in my gallery with the logo/avatar-proper size-the only photo in it...now how do I get it from there onto the profile? I know nothing about linking to a url..how?

Not happy-I have emailed three different admins omultiple times over a month's time and NOT ONE has even responded-this is about that "dead man" profile I can't get rid of-can't upload any image, and they are the right size. Phooey.
