  1. Oh the joy of buying 15'' shelves, then getting home and they dont fit cause they are 15.5 inches and you have an L&L Kiln with element holders. DUN DUN DUN....

  3. Biking around lagoon with dog, koala in middle of road, dog needs restraining, koala latches onto my leg, and sinks teeth into right knee, teeth either sid eof my patella,.... claws deep into my calf muscle, prised the thingie off woith ma pottinig hands...

  7. I'm a sad guinea today...I just found out the founder of The Art Spirit gallery, my favorite place, passed away on Dec. 31st from ALS. Guys, he was so awesome. He really liked my work & encouraged me to submit it... I'm really sad...

  10. With temps a little cool in the studio, 'tis the season for carving new stamps while propped up in front of the fireplace. :)

  11. unloaded container tester of everything bu 2 electric kilns. Organizing a forklift to get the big one off the truck. Enjoying now furnish living room with a view and fireplace. Love being here.

  12. Two knee operations, rehab, a hectic work schedule, and the fact that the site doesn't allow me to sign in using my tablet...it has been a while since I posted. It has also been a while since I worked in the studio...but 2017 is another year. Looking forward to getting my hands in wet clay again. Happy Holidays

  14. After owning my first wheel for two weeks: I have gone through nearly 100lbs of clay centering and pulling simple forms. I actually pulled a ten pound cylinder today: my first attempt with that much clay. I have also been using my own custom porcleain and stoneware bodies: which I like alot better. (bias intended)

  15. Glaze or bisque firing almost every day this week. Big push to finish EVERYTHING in time for my Open Studio which starts Saturday. :)

  17. Element changing day. All the pots that were underfired in my recent element faillure have been refired. A few ended up overfired, but most are ok, including the order of 10 plates (phew).

  18. They accepted our offer on the red Lodge house so we're moving' back to Montana! So excited. We'll probably begin the move with studio equipment and then start showing our house. Should be moving by the Spring.YAY!

  19. Headed to the CA State Fair today. It's an annual trek to see how my wife does in the Jam & Jelly Competition.

  20. leaving tomorrow at 5 am to check out a potential retirement home in Montana for my husband and me. Studio space, kiln space and mountains! My friends have me covered for p/u at airport, drive to town, stay with friends. I love Montana!

  21. We're up in the North Country in our little hovel. I'm getting the new studio site ready, putting in a garden, and working on the hovel. There will be no clay until fall, so I'll have to live vicariously through the forum.

  22. Day 3 of playhouse construction for the grand-kiddos...I'm thinking it needs a gargoyle just to get me back into the studio :)

  24. Gallery backed out on me. Stings quite a bit, but I guess that means I can sell those pieces on my own. I'm a pretty grumpy guinea right now, though.

  25. Yay, I went to my first craft market today. My wife and I had a great time. There was only about 15 vendors, but I was the only potter. I sold almost everything and even got some commissions. I want to thank you all, for your kindness, acceptance and support. Along with all your great advice I was able to feel confident that I could do this. It wasn't about the money, but it was ok, but just knowing that I have friendships that care about me, makes me a millionair. I couldn't have don...
