High Bridge Pottery got a reaction from Joseph Fireborn in Found a house with space for a studio. Been a long 3-4 years with little to no potter
Both I mean the reduction kiln is still a massive WIP so that will probably be on the back burner. Saying that so is my electric kiln controller. The only kiln that wasn't bodged by me needs a bit more juice so once I get that sorted it will be easy electric firings.

Good news indeed Joel. I am familiar with the Stoke on Trent area and it's long history in pottery. Several museums I have strolled through online, and several active potteries. Looking forward to your future pottery pieces.

My husband, son and I were vacationing in Orlando and went to see a Space shuttle launch.  They had been having trouble with the shuttle so launches weren't happening very often.  We took a chance and got up at 3 in the morning and drove to a look out point.   They almost cancel it three times and then decided to launch,  the roar of the engine was impressive but the shaking of the ground so far away was amazing.  We could have been a launch guest,  my husband's second cousin was head of the space shuttle program.  We decided to watch from a distance and not bother him even though other family members had.  My in-laws were special guest to see the Hubble telescope launched into space.    Denice

Would love to see one in person, it was awesome just watching the live stream.

Envy.  As a kid, I saw a mid-'50's rocket launch from the swamp (with quicksand--I remember my aunt warning me not to go wading) directly across from Cape Canaveral. Have never forgotten the awe and majesty of that. I think about that uplifting (pun intended) experience sometimes when I am feeling really down about the idiocy/greed/hatefulness of the human species.

That's what kids are for  I used to type up most of my mums stuff because it would take me 1/10th of the time.

Haha I like that it is now orbiting the sun for the next billion years. It was his personal car if a bit of clever marketing. Also enjoyed the nod to Douglas Adams.

Joel: last time I just asked if anyone knew of a source for a material. Find it much safer and calmer sitting on the sidelines.

Guess I need to post a controversial topic that flies in the face of conventional pottery wisdom: that always seems to get the place hoppin.

Losing John was almost as bad as losing Tom, I know he is still out there in the world but it still hurt. I don't want to make it seem like Tom's passing is any less poignant but it feels the same.
