perils of moving into a used house. It took 3 city water dept. guys 2 hours to find the turn off valve for the water system as a pipe was leaking from being frozen. They found the meter and the turn off valve behind a built in structure in the basement. So much for working on organizing the studio. Plumber comes tomorrow. One guy was the former mayor.

biggest city for 500 miles in any direction. Calgary, Spokane, Denver, Salt Lake City.

heehee- someone in Medicine Hat mentioned that Callie & I were from the "Big City"! There is a lot of open land between Calgary & Billings too.

unpacking my studio and kiln shed. Even though it is below 0 F and we're shoveling daily, I am a happy camper.
-
vFinally got my big oval into the kiln shed. My neighbor used a Bobcat to get it off the truck and lifted it over the fence. Amazing. The logistics of moving this have kept me sleepless for many nights since we decided to move.

Glad you are enjoying your new digs. Watching it snow is very calming. Our snow is about gone due to unseasonably warm weather. We had Christmas rain, not snow...

It snowed yesterday and last night. Unloaded in sunny 19 degree F. weather.

met up with my husband in Amarillo. He was a day behind me but got an early start at 5 am and hit the snow too. Now we're driving together.I thought I lost a cat but today she appeared in the van after spending the night hiding hopefully in a warm moving blanket. She appeared in the litter box behind the seat. I am amazed and happy to still have her..Made it to Cheyenne, Wyo. and tomorrow to our new home. Our friends plowed the driveway and sidewalk is shoveled.

Sounds about right we drive about eight hours a day. My husband doesn't like my driving just because I don't drive like a little old lady like he does, so he does all of the driving.

It's fun following your progress!
