Ready for a week of heavy rains. I know it isn't what many of you are suffering right now, but I need sunshine in the winter.

Back to work in the studio. Still recovering from sore throat and cough.

thanks for reminding me, lol. About Texas. I need a bigger AC. The drywall I added did bring down the temp by 10 degree. When I get more moola I plane to blow some installation up there. Stay cool.

Its in the 50's at night in Anacortes ,Wa as well as home now. I love this area of Washington state. Art show almost over and get to go diving for 3 days in Puget sound

Taxes done. Brew for Obvara has been sitting for three days. SO today I will fire!

After 16 years with my bailey wheel, I replaced the potentiometer in the foot pedal. It is running and stopping just fine. The problem was that all of a sudden it would lurch when I turned on the motor. It is now fine.

Did you take picture of repair I may have issues with my pedal?

no. I called bailey, described the problem and they sent me the parts. Disassemmbled the foot pedal, cut the solder ed wire off the old potentiometer, rewired the new one and put the pedal back together. They sent a three page instruction with all the info about the pedal. easy to do.

One day, today, of a hot blast from the Yucatan, then the Siberian express comes back tomorrow night. When will this settle down to normal.

the cold front has reached us at the Southern tip of Texas. I have a raku firing workshop on Wed. I hope it isn't too blustery!

I did a residency at the Bray but I use to take my classes these to see the art. I bought my clay from there for the University. This trip is fun. 23 Annual Wild Women's Weekend at Chico Hot Springs. My girlfriends and I do this every year. I miss them since I moved to Texas.

we still have highs in the 90s here and high humidity. I need to get firing lots of loads but slow drying and really hot. I have to wrap burnished pieces to avoid sweat from touching them.

Slab roller is broken down and ready to load. I love Bailey equipment. My pug Mill is also ready. Took the lever and counter weight off, wrapped the pressure gauge as that got broken last move.

Getting ready to leave Texas this morning. Dark and foggy. Cats have been drugged, harness on one. one last shop cart to put into my van along with a suitcase, winter coat. too bad my snow boots are up there.
