Yesterday I sat down to do some editing of my website ... and could not find it. Gone. Not in my time machine backups, not anywhere on my disc, gone from the application. LUCKILY, it is still live online ... do not ask me how that happens. The help people offered a way to retrieve all my data from the online site but I have to go in and re-configure and edit since it does not refine anything. My site is over 100 pages so I will be here for a while. I have decided to treat it like a bad...

Huh. That is terrible. If you re-make it, it will be better, right?
-
i just found a copy of it on an old computer ... maybe a couple years old but better than doing it all from scratch ... now just have to figure out how to transfer it. ;-)

A sad day for this North Carolina potter.

This decision just flat troubles me.

Hmm, maybe a business opportunity for potters to make chamber pots for those denied bathroom usage, LOL but really not funny

I was just offered 50/50 consignment, I pay shipping both ways, they don't believe in signed agreements and I have the feeling loses and theft will also come out of my pocket. Hmmm ...NO

Oh, THAT'S always thrilling. I had a 21hr layover at AMS once, and I was broke. Soooo bored!
-
Ooooh! Have fun!
-
Enjoy...I need to get there soon.
-
Phew! First car load of studio 'stuff' gone to the re-cycling/land fill. Now, what to do with stuff another potter might want?

Put up an ad in the supermarked or at your suppliers?
-
Donate to a community art center.

Another car load gone! Now to organize the stuff I will pass on to another potter. Whew!! You can sure collect a ton of stuff over the years.

Inspired by Yoshitaka Hasu's demo at the NC Potters Conference I am making a large sculpture for my garden ... sometimes you just have to go where inspiration leads you!

Wow, Chris, how beautiful. That must have been a journey you will remember also in your future work. Thanks for sharing the pics!
-
Once again, great photos of rarely seen animals and landscapes. Looks sunny and warm too.
-
Chilly at dawn, hot mid day and chilly again at night.
-
Gone for a couple weeks ... Y'all behave! : > )

Just loaded, unloaded, re-loaded my little test kiln three times! Can you tell I am trying to jam in a last firing?
-
Still working, but now the garage is COLD! I am trimming the colored clay pots and trying to find a way to trim the insides to see the color results. The trimmings are gorgeous!

I am finally done and back in my warm house. I am very excited by the results of this experiment and will report on my blog soon.
-
Yes, what are you going to do with the beautiful trimmings?? pity to bucket them
-
I am letting them dry while trying to keep their original shapes ... then I will work some kind of something with them and white.clay ... Will shred others into fine, gratings ... who knows where it will all end up??

I have put some images up in my gallery ... I am not a great thrower for sure but I was pleased to learn a lot about throwing colored clay. It was fun.
-

Going outside to throw in the chilly garage ... Why didn't I do this while it was warm outside??

BRRR ... I am done out there ... Well, until I have to load and unload kilns anyhow.
-
I knew you could do it, be warmer when you fire up a kiln..
-
I made the mistake of not loading my bucket with warm water this morning...that first dip before throwing was a shocker!
-
Currently in Seville, Spain seeing fabulous tiles on every wall and around every corner! If you want your artwork to last forever, fire it on a tile!
-
Trying to figure if I have time to get a piece ready to submit for the Potters Council Juried Show ... My work takes a bit longer than average!
-
Safely in Asheboro for the NC Potters Conference. Tomorrow we get to watch John Glick, Mark Shapiro and Michelle Erickson do their thing!
-
Second day in my now warm garage mixing colored clay for my workshops ... Yes, we potters do know how to have a good time.
-
Exciting day in the studio tomorrow ... Failure possibility around 90% ... Woohoo"
-
Going to find out what happens when darvan and a heat gun hit thin strips of colored clay. Disaster or glory?
-
Baking cookies today ... and they also get rolled and cut in slices just like my porcelain. Should have a trouble free firing.

My firing produced a few damaged cookies that had to be eaten. Such a shame!
-
Don't you love cookie casualties! I make lebkuchen and chocolate dipped creams, both very fragile. I wouldn't want to serve a broken cookie now would I?
-
You cannot ever do enough quality control on cookies.
