  1. So I got busy and made three sinks for a house I am renovating. This past week I loaded them up and bisque fired them. One of the three survived the bisque firing. The good thing is I know how to efficiently make two more. Must allow more drying time for 1/2 inch thick ware this time..

  2. Just so you know... a sharpened needle tool, when knocked off a countertop, can put a hole in one's foot. No need to try this for yourself, trust me :)

  3. 38deg C in the shade, keeping me out of my corrugated iron clay shed.

  4. Cleaning the studio. I should kick the person who made such a mess. Oh. Wait. :)

  5. we still have highs in the 90s here and high humidity. I need to get firing lots of loads but slow drying and really hot. I have to wrap burnished pieces to avoid sweat from touching them.

  6. Had so many test tiles out the little kiln recently. Lots of options but nothing I am looking for. I am not even sure what I am looking for until I see it.

  7. loaded kiln late last night, a dozen teacups were part of the load. Went into shed this am on way to work. ONE teacup stll on the outside!! How did this happen?

  8. I wish more people here posted an avatar of at least some image rather than ghost heads. Bizarre names and no info in their "about me" diminishes the community spirit of the forum. Couldn't someone say I am interested in this or that.

  9. smashed my finger in the studio door. Ouch! It may slow down throwing.

  10. June will be recorded as a bust for me in terms of clay production, but I will have a great pond to sit by as I work...anxious to get my hands muddy again though.

  11. Tried milk-firing last night! I'm mostly pleased with the results, but I can't find my jar of beeswax polish so I won't know for sure until that's located.

  12. Wedged about 70 pounds of clay today, if I'm to continue to make my own clay I think I'll need a pugmill, and a mixer

  13. Late night purchase of Kanthal A1 wire. How hard can it be to make an element?

  14. What happened to Norm? (just curious... he was a goldmine of ideas)

  15. Rain rain go away, come back next year

  16. I'm not saying that its cold, but I may find myself chipping a German Shepherd off of a fire hydrant before the day is over :)

  17. Getting over the flu. So little time, so much to do,

  18. Is wishing you Happy Holidays!

  19. Waited too long to mix glazes and now the garage is cold ... Ugh!

  20. Arrived in my Italian studio and, finally, Internet is working again...

  21. Presently in NS. Baddeck soon then PEI then home. Camping(motor home) with 87 year young Dad.
