High Bridge Pottery
Final Entry - High Bridge Pottery These are a continuous idea I have been working with since college. Mistfit
That is a lovely piece! It has weight and lightness all at the same time. Have you tried that shape with the top triangle offset from the bottom one?

High Bridge Pottery
Yes, maybe a little vague on the challenge but we are learning what works
Benzine
Yes, maybe a little vague on the challenge but we are learning what works Oh, I wouldn't say that. I think you leave the Challenge open enough to allow a variety of ideas, while still giving it a focus. In regards to mine, it started very round, but had some altering. Overall it is still roundish, but more organically so. If it doesn't really fit this Challenge, no worries. It was just something I was working on very recently, that kind of fit. Mistfit
Final Entry: Kevin "Mistfit" Mist CC3 I am pretty pleased with how these turned out. Many things in this glaze firing failed. I am still working out why. These were created as a bottomless pot on the wheel. I then allowed them to dry a bit and from there I put in the "chopstick" indentation to create the lid/gallery. I took a couple of slabs with the leaf imprint in them and draped them over the top of my open form and allowed both to get to leather hard. I then attached them all together and went through way too much time cleaning up the edges and joints. Sometimes my OCD gets the better of me. Then it was firing, waxing, firing again.
