  1. What's on my workbench? Clutter. It's far too cold and damp to be out there this time of year. My shelf at the centre, however, has rolled clay waiting to be turned into Herb Labels, there is an Owl drop mould sitting upside down, waiting to be fettled and put into the kiln, and there are mugs and spatula rests waiting for a ^6 firing.

Nah---no dark side to it....just a way to have fun, learn, create, and probably cross fertilize!

  4. How did your further testing go?

My father passed two weeks ago, and I want to use his ashes in trinket trays for the family.  Will also use them in some fused glass work.

I am so sorry for your loss,  make sure you take the time to recover.  I hope you get the information you need to complete your trays for your family.   Denice

  5. No, just mine and my parents. I'd made mine, and dad asked if I could make theirs for their 50th anniversary. He measured all the walls, and we'd already measured the garden. So it's pretty much to scale.
  6. Oh dear, attended a glass fusing course and now I'm being drawn away from clay.  So tempting.

I have done glass fusing in the past, it was interesting and fun.  Kind of like a kid with a new toy,  but the thrill wore off quickly.  I still needed to get my hands in clay.   Denice

  7. The "accidental" perfect pot. Should have been this tall/wide, ended up different and was a success.

    Extruder dies

They are called U bolts. When we bought them, they came with two nuts each, had to buy extra nuts as you need four per bolt. Good luck, I love my hollow extruder dies.
  11. I did say, a while back, that I would set the next challenge, which I have failed so far to do. But, watch this space, the non-christmas christmas challenge will be posted on 24 September, giving three months build time.
