I did focus more on gardening today. Planted pansies and geraniums. BUT I now better than to plant tomatoes too soon. Not yet, Must wait a few weeks. They'll be safe being portable.
-
Always good to plant flower-ours are in along with tomatoes corn and beans

We have bears and deer plus many turkeys and very short growing season. I hope to get a greenhouse together for the next season. In my old place in Huntley , Montana , I had a huge garden with irrigation. Corn, beans, beets, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, etc. I love gardening. Too many bugs and too hot in Tx. where we lived.Herbs were the only survivors.

beginning to prepare for Fall semester at a new teaching job at a great facility on the beautiful campus of University of Texas -Brownsville. Only concern is dodging bullets from Matadoros, Mx and the drug cartels.Bullets have hit campus buildings..seriously.

Being in a daily raku test group sounds like a damper on your aspirations. Not a fun thing to do.

Belts on my wheel broke while throwing. Ordered replacements. Second repair job on my 16 years old wheel. Then my clay supplier has had the phones disconnected. Next closest place is Austin 340 miles away.

will have a look. I have plenty of reptiles in my yard. cats love them. The only two ways to Austin are either cross a big fracking development with huge trucks and crazy drivers in 2 lane blacktops or go through San Antonio up the most congested interstate I always try to avoid. It is a long haul either way. Not West texas.
-
aprox. drive time on that is about 5hr 35 minutes.. give the big trucks the room they need and make sure when you pass them up you can see both headlights in your rear view mirror... I always hated to drive through Dallas, Ft. Worth, there are some idiots who must have gotten their drivers license out of a cracker jack box "prize" lol

Austin is about 5 1/2 Houston 6 hours. And the same part from here to Corpus is B-o-r-i-n-g..not like Montana.

Marcia, I would be soooo interested in a tong that's not damaging the surface of the objects. Keep me informed if you succeed...
