I did focus more on gardening today. Planted pansies and geraniums. BUT I now better than to plant tomatoes too soon. Not yet, Must wait a few weeks. They'll be safe being portable.
-
Always good to plant flower-ours are in along with tomatoes corn and beans

We have bears and deer plus many turkeys and very short growing season. I hope to get a greenhouse together for the next season. In my old place in Huntley , Montana , I had a huge garden with irrigation. Corn, beans, beets, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, etc. I love gardening. Too many bugs and too hot in Tx. where we lived.Herbs were the only survivors.

just realized I have an extra week til my show in Nye. Great stress release.
-
Nye in Bhutan? Nye in Sweden? Nye in Nevada or some other Nye?
-
Nye, Montana about 45 minutes away. Beautiful area in the foothills to the Absoroka range. Former mining town now vacation homes. Gallery is only open for summer and this week heavy spring snow knocked out the power.
-
What I would give to have an extra week right now... busy is an understatement.

It is snowing in Red Lodge. More expected tonight and tomorrow. I'm preparing for an Obvara demo during the reception on June 2 at Windy Flats gallery in Nye, Mt.

Ha ha. I wish I could slow down. Tomorrow four projects on the house we're selling in TX. replace cracked tiles, fixed garage door opener, and spackle nail holes and paint, and replace a section of broken pipe on the sprinkler system. Hoping to start back to Montana Thursday.
-
Sounds like you are all but done.

I bet it feels good in your hand. I am in Cottonwood, AZ right now. Is this near the red rock area you were firing at?
-
No. Red Lodge is in Montana and the same town I live in.
-
I thought it was in Montana but you travel so much. Everything around here is called Red Rock something.
-
A day off from the wood firing.Demos tomorrow by Trey Hill and my old friend, Josh DeWeese. Then unload and Clean up Monday.

tis is a first for me, Threw in the morning trimmed in the afternoon and loaded that evening. Had to get the firing done. Lost three pieces out of about 50. But now I have enough to fill my allotted amount for the up coming wood firing. So happy to be getting some finished pieces soon. It has been a while since I broke down my studio in Nov.The electricity was connected to my kiln shed last Thurs. All kilns are functioning after their 1780 mile journey north.

It was porcelain. Babu. I didn't like throwing it but the handles were good. and didn't crack. Very forgiving but I like Colemen better.
