I think it is weird science day. I have had these ideas for oddity glazes rolling around in my head for a month now. Good day to test them.

Have a nasty winter cough/cold

Spent the first day of the new year making pots. Such a happy day.

Happy New Year clay friends and associates!

Got my first commission today. I'm not actively selling at the moment so this is an exciting development.

After owning my first wheel for two weeks: I have gone through nearly 100lbs of clay centering and pulling simple forms. I actually pulled a ten pound cylinder today: my first attempt with that much clay. I have also been using my own custom porcleain and stoneware bodies: which I like alot better. (bias intended)

So glad this site is back!!!!! Thanks to whoever fixed the problem!

Glaze or bisque firing almost every day this week. Big push to finish EVERYTHING in time for my Open Studio which starts Saturday.

First glaze kiln of the year comes out today! Can't wait to see how my experiments came out...

Discharged from fracture clinic. Now I can start getting back to a normal life. Physio says it could take another 8 months before shoulder returns to "normal". I'm cool with that.

Off to the Big Apple Friday to celebrate my folks' 70th wedding anniversary. Will get to play tourist and photographer for 10 days. Will try to visit a pottery or 2 while out there.

Finally got back into the studio today. Been a while. Spraying tomorrow.

Third good glaze firing this week! After three or four disastrous glaze loads I'm starting to gain my confidence back.

Second full day of workshop in Kilmun. Finished about 4 pm. Will post pictures whe I get home.

I finally gotten my hands on the clay after more than a year and two hand surgeries. Yaay!

reorganizing my studio. Antoinette uses a shoe holder for a wall of tools in the pouches. She lines each pouch with a plastic cup. Brilliant. She is much taller than me. I am cutting the shoe holder into sections: one by the wheel, one by my glaze table and one by the slab roller.

First full day of NCECA with bus tours to galleries.

Thinking about starting private lessons from inside my home. My health is crashing fast, and pottery is getting harder every day, but I have a lot of knowledge to share. I think I could take a couple students under my wing.

I have been on the forum for roughly a month now. I must say it is an honor to see the works of so many talented and gifted people. The willingness to share knowledge and information is also commendable. Just thought it needed to be said.

Delay on making small traveling Raku kiln. Flashing went to protect my citrus trees. They are looking like the tin man. Must get some other things done first. New gallery in Montana.
