You made these? Are they 1/4" plexiglass? looks good.
  7. From the album: 3D printer

Unfortunately Gearbest does not send written instructions. You need to watch a YouTube video. So this is partly why it takes time. Had to screen print the parts list so that I could check off my parts to make sure I had everything. I like putting things together and taking things apart so this is fun for me. You can buy it preassembled but it will cost you twice as much. I paid about $180 with shipping. It comes with a sample of the plastic coil to make a 3D object. So I will have to order a spool. That will give me a lot more to work with in creating my own custom stamps for about 32 $50. Wish me luck and ask any questions you have and I'll try to answer them.

More parts to go will probably take another four five maybe six hours.

I finally received my 3D printer from China. Started to assemble the Mainframe. This took about 3 hours.
  11. Ordered a 3D printer kit. So I will assemble it and make a clay stamp. Probably take about a week to get it.

My son bought a broken one at the DAV and fixed it. Wore it out and fixed it again. Then it was broken in a move and he had to fix it again. They took it to the remote island they live on so they can print our anything they need.

You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day. Sooooo, I like this. Who needs limitations.
  17. Back to the drawing board. I fired a kiln to ^6 with a pyro barin my sitter. New sitter, new everything, except infinite switches (no long can get), but it never got there. Brand new elements. It was firing fine till last nite. It's still cooling. Going to fire in my small kiln to finish an order. And work on the big kiln. I will fix it or try basket weaving in my padded room.

Yup. I just wonder if the weather had anything to do with it. We had some very heavy downpours Saturday when I was firing. No lighting. the barometric pressure was at 30.30. The humidity at 84%. Guess it could be that my kiln was, a bit under the weather, LOL.

I fired the small kiln today @^6 and it went well. Nice day. I am going to fire another load in the big kiln tomorrow ^6. small load. If it doesn't go well I am going to check all my wiring.

I will only fire bisque ware in my dad's big kiln. It has too many hot and cold spots. Sometimes there has been a four-cone variation between the top and bottom shelf. Too unpredictable. So I fire many small glaze loads.

This is how I gauge where to make marks for my petals or any other design I need to aline imagery.

    Lotus Bowl

I make three lite horizontal lines, equally spaced, after trimming the foot and all. I have made a compass on my plastic bat to mark the points on the lines depending how wide I want the petals. Then I make a sine wave. I sponge out the lines. Maybe I should make a video. I haven't done one in a while. I'll post a picture of my bat today.
