      We could use some of that rain, not a drop in almost 3 weeks. Hitting high 90's everyday does not help.

  4. was throwing today in my new studio. Yay! Now I am waiting for the electric company to hook up the power. But I will be ready with kiln loads of pots. POR FIN!!!

  5. we start loading the train kiln today. Snowed last night. Bringing a pot of lentil soup for lunch for the crew.

  6. we still have highs in the 90s here and high humidity. I need to get firing lots of loads but slow drying and really hot. I have to wrap burnished pieces to avoid sweat from touching them.

  9. weather is stirring up. I still have seven pieces of raku to fire., but now I will start rolling slabs and then start throwing

  13. welcome to the forum. I am originally from Philadelphia. My parents moved to York in 1980 when my dad retired. They are both deceased now. I miss Pa. and the autumn colors.

  14. Welcome to the forum. This should kit start your experiences with clay. Life is short so make the most of it. Take some workshops. You can get a lot out of them.

      It is my husband up for his Spring Break in Texas.

      He has to leave Saturday.

       

  21. will fire Obvara Sunday. I still had a day for it to ferment. Plus it rained.

      no. I am still figuring out the straight mix.

      I get plenty of variation with that. Jose Ramos gets awesome results and sublties.

  22. will fire today. Kiln is loaded. The heat just sucked the energy out of me. heat index 106. F

      Wish we had a LITTLE of your Summer. Temps here in PA have caused pool attendance to be way down. Average next week looks like high of 75.

  24. with the next week with temperature 100 everyday, I may wait to fire.

  25. wonderful reception and many old friends and fans came to the opening and Obvara demo.
