I don't use the nozzle thingy to fill them, I just squeeze the air out and suck up the slip, then wipe off the outside. Not too bad. -

Thank you! This is meant to be a plain piece that can coordinate with my more highly detailed, high contrast work that I make in collections. This is the closest to no decoration I can bear. -
Wildflower pitcher and large nesting bowl set

The bowl is the largest I've ever thrown, I believe it's 11" across and four or five inches tall. Each item is decorated on the exterior with a carved design of wildflowers that I hand fill with glaze. The results of an experiment with adding a touch of decoration. I kept the profile of the slip trailing lower than normal so I didn't add a hard-to-clean texture to the inside of a bowl. It came out really nicely.© Copyright 2016 Giselle Massey - Giselle No. 5 Ceramics - All Rights Reserved
