  1. This year, let's see if I can find the right cycle of work and stay in it. It's all about balance and consistency. Easy. ;)

I think people make the bullet journals way to complex. It should really be something quick that you spend like 10 minutes a day on. But yea I have no idea. I have never made one. Thinking about trying it this school semester.

Hm. Maybe I should research "SIMPLE bullet journal". :) Since I tend to make things complicated anyway simple is GOOD. Let me know if you try it, Joseph, I'm curious how they work. I definitely could use something to be more organized. Too much going on in my mind at any given moment.

Yea. I dunno. I am not the type of person that makes journals. I can remember most task I have to do. I was mostly thinking about it for school assignments. We will see if I ever get "around" to it.

  2. Thank you! Yes, all colors in nature look amazing together!!
  3. I have mostly just let the stamps sell out. I have only a couple hours of time in the studio each day and I don't want to spend it making stamps. :/
  4. They are so fun to make. (They aren't the MOST functional because a last little spoonful of liquid gets trapped on the belly but it's not too bad)
  5. I always think it's so weird when someone doesn't like red. I have red in every room of my house. (Not red alone of course)
  6. This is a present for my cousin who loves blue and loves roses.
  7. The bright color does make me happy so I think you're right, I should stick with it! This made me laugh. Love it. I have tried the purple, in fact it's one of the most popular colors with this design. It looks wonderful if I do say so myself. The purple, sky blue and peach are the best sellers definitely but I have a feeling the teal will do well and the red sells well too. In fact the peach is in high demand. I personally was going to nix the peach because it's lower contrast with the clay but I currently have six mugs requested in peach! http://community.ceramicartsdaily.org/gallery/image/8542-wildflower-mug-in-smoky-amethyst/ http://community.ceramicartsdaily.org/gallery/image/8182-california-wildflowers-coffee-cup-smoky-merlot/
  8. I don't like thin watery looking whites. So yes, I think I see what you mean! I am thinking of trying a creamy white or a satin white instead of this white gloss. I think I don't like the white with speckles either. I like other colors with the speckles. Love lime green, peach, aqua with the speckles. If it's going to be white I want really white. Oh well, I only made three mugs in white and two have sold so at least I don't have to keep them !
  9. You didn't offend me. I make several different colors because everybody has different tastes. I like them all (but I did not like the white).
  10. I've had people say the same about the red. In person, the color doesn't hit your eye quite as much although the color in the photo is true.
  11. Now please explain the peach. (just kidding)
  12. I originally did peach because I didn't have any orange. And I think the peach looks pretty. But I'm thinking about adding in some orange poppies as well because it's more accurate. BUT California poppies do come in a variety of colors. So the peach isn't impossible, it's just more rare. http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod38/dw/image/v2/ABAQ_PRD/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Burpee/default/dw28ea6aa1/Images/Product%20Images/prod000344/prod000344.jpg?sw=322&sh=380&sm=fit
  13. Wax resist mishima with underglaze. Because I did hand paint the grass the first few times. My hair has grown back now though.

I feel that the orange and red is too close in tone. I want to try again with more warm/cool contrast next time.

Tried the design with orange poppies instead of the peach because technically orange is truer to life. Still needs some tweaking.

Again 22 oz. Seriously, if I drank that much coffee I would collapse into a heap, twitching.

I tried out this color combo at the suggestion of a customer and I think this is a keeper! I wasn't sure if it was going to work because there's not teal in the design of the flowers, but it did!

I tried the white out just to see how I felt about it. Frankly I'm not a fan. Probably won't do white again. (I don't like white generally anyway so this is not a big surprise for me)
