  1. Element changing day. All the pots that were underfired in my recent element faillure have been refired. A few ended up overfired, but most are ok, including the order of 10 plates (phew).

  2. Invited to do a pop-up show at 'last minute'...said, "OK" because it is less than a mile from home and will last only 3 hrs. I can do this :)

  3. Dealing with bursitis right now. . should have known better than to cut in ceilings without breaks for painting rental. Oh well, no clay for a while.

  4. I've been asked to make some bisque molds for chili bowls...as persnickety as I am about trimming feet, trimming the bottom completely round may put me into therapy :)

  5. Working on the mural with the others got most of it finished.

  6. Just did a reorg of my studio space, with the help of some hired muscle. Same amount of stuff, but now a good bit more of working space and room for me to move around better. Yee haw!

  7. Video'd myself throwing off hump. Nothing like a video to remind yourself of all the mistakes and extra things you do to a pot.

  8. Home from Montana. 3800+ miles round trip. Great to go back to Montana and see friends and former students . They have been waiting for us to come back for 10 years. What a great feeling!

  10. Man, did you know that uncooked corn on the cob is so good? I love it. No salt or butter needed. Very sweet yellow organic corn. Yum.

  20. Highwater's Clay is much softer than it used to be. Or I was just getting old batches.

  21. It is glaze firing day...I seem to forget just how hot it can get in the kiln room when the outside/combustion air is coming in at 95F+. The pots are reducing and apparently so am I :)

  24. leaving tomorrow at 5 am to check out a potential retirement home in Montana for my husband and me. Studio space, kiln space and mountains! My friends have me covered for p/u at airport, drive to town, stay with friends. I love Montana!
