  10. Finally cleaned my much needed to be cleaned studio. I think there was more pollen on the floor then clay dust.

  15. In the middle of wood firing extravaganza. Loaded 2 of the 4 wood kilns , anagama and soda/wood kiln. Fired off the soda wood kiln with a great team under Lorna Meaden. We rocked!Anagama is still going. Our last shift for that is tomorrow 10-4.Then Tues we move into Kansas City for NCECA. We loved Lawrence and Kansas University.

  18. With about 90 minutes left in a glaze firing we had a neighborhood power failure that lasted 2 1/2 hours. I just restarted the kiln and crossing my fingers.

  19. Firing some new glazes and combinations, designed for a slow cool schedule. Looking for that elusive semi matte with some variation. Pretty excited.

  24. That moment when the cone 10 glaze firing is well underway, you are cleaning up the glazing table, and suddenly there is an out-of-place container of low-fire glaze sitting in front of you...

  25. A couple of yahoos were racing on the highway at 2:30am, crashed, and knocked out the power in three small towns. My Fred was firing when the power was cut, hnnngh... He got back online, though. :)
