got my pieces fired but had to get propane. First supplier was out of gas. Second one filled up all 4 of my 30 gallon tanks. Only dropped 500 degrees while I was filling up the tanks. Got the pieces I need for the Yellowstone Art Museum.

I don't know why it took me so long to embrace the idea of: Make what I love, and find people to buy it. I have been struggling with it for way to long.

Weekend One of the tour was so much fun! I'm not even tired although my feet hurt. I feel like I had friends over all weekend (which for me is heaven). Already inspired for new work and feeling a little silly for my pre-show jitters Friday night.

Had a great trip to Andalusia , Spain and through Extremadura to and from Madrid. Saw many pots from where I had visited in 1980s doing research. sadly most of the traditional potters are no longer around.

Having a dabble into changing firing schedules to get rid of bubbles. Tried a slow cool with no luck, still just as many. Tried a hold at 900c for 20 mins after reading that is the temp dolomite and whiting have finished gassing. Excited to see if that has made any changes.

Studio Tour is tomorrow and I wasn't even nervous till about an hour ago, when suddenly "Who am I kidding?" popped into my head. All I can see is the mistakes and the simple beginner's shapes and I just want to call the whole thing off!!

Threw porcelain for the first time ever. > It was not cooperative. I have been doing so well, yet I scraped off several flops. Finally I went back to B-Mix and my confidence was so shaken that I kept having flops with that too. Grump grump grump.

Glaze firing with my dad this weekend. We'll open tomorrow morning since we used his big kiln. First time ever that I've slept the night we were glaze firing, I feel pretty confident.

I will be praying for our friend Evelyne Schoenmann. She will be going in for surgery in a couple of days. Please wish her well. This is just a note. Please write to her, not me.

Still feeling pain from the cortisone shot my doctor gave me. I can't even make a fist. I hope it ends soon. I miss being in the studio.
