Spent the last two days cleaning the studio. Everything is shiny and smells like apple-scented Fabuloso. Today I spilled some glaze on the clean floor and was like "NOOOOOOOO!!"

Mine looks like a bomb hit it. 2nd of 4 Christmas shows begins this Friday. All of them are out of my studio, so cleanup will come at the end.

So is there a realistic weight of clay to pull certain height cylinders and does it depend on the skill more than the clay? I swear some clays are so difficult to pull up and others want to reach for the sky.

I'm just now getting on the screenprinting bandwagon for transfers...and the CriCut option for making silkscreen masks is a game changer...yep, that's all I need...another ADHD design option #smh

My reorg just keeps getting better. I found many small containers of clay to reclaim that I did not even know I had, my muscle guy is interested in doing some grunt work, and my landlord made me risers for greenware drywall boards that triple the available space.

I was pouring glaze over the outside of some little tumblers the other day. I used a small sour cream container lid to shield the bottom from glaze. Worked pretty well.

Man, did you know that uncooked corn on the cob is so good? I love it. No salt or butter needed. Very sweet yellow organic corn. Yum.

I did this last year. I thought it would be a fun little claycation while the kiln shed was repaired...totally a shift to the dark side, especially if you switch to red clay!

Was doing a forum search on rare eath oxides such as Yttrium, Holium, and Samarium: wonder why these never came up in topics before?

Accessibility is an issue, only people I know in Canada that work with rare earths picked up their supplies at NCECA. Most of the supply gets eaten up by those producing batteries and magnets.
