Today is my anniversary of pottery three years now. I posted an image on the gallery with more thoughts for anyone who wants to read it. Thanks to everyone here for all your wonderful help, thoughts, and support. Without you all I wouldn't be a potter.

trying a quick dry method- involves trimmed mugs, 2 fans and outdoors in warm & unusually humid air for our area.

I am reading a book on clay body formulation from 1959: and the information is relatively the same as in 2017. Why does this bother me?

It sounds like you're more irritated by the fact that someone has probably looked into this in depth before, but they've yet to be bothered to write it down, and now the job's been left to you.

Think I finally convinced myself to write a book on clay formulation and remedies for common clay issues. Should not take me more than five years.

The last 2 weeks I've clocked 100+ hours/week in the studio in preparation for a craft show. My body absolutely hates me and my brain is fried. But I went through many audible books and finished Neil Tyson's Cosmo series. It better rain money soon.

You need sleep before you try selling anything. Going in sick or exhausted will affect sales.

I am wondering about glazing in a cold garage ( 27^) The bisque is cold, the glazes are cold. Does this affect the outcome? or is it of no concern

It'll be uncomfortable for you, but your pots won't care. Don't let the glaze bucket freeze though. It'll hard pan like nothing else I've ever seen.

Biking around lagoon with dog, koala in middle of road, dog needs restraining, koala latches onto my leg, and sinks teeth into right knee, teeth either sid eof my patella,.... claws deep into my calf muscle, prised the thingie off woith ma pottinig hands...

Marcia, Terri and I are just here for the weekend. If you can prove a certain amount of technical knowledge, you can rent the soda or the salt kiln and fire it yourself for the weekend. We're here until about lunchtime tomorrow. You're about 5 hours away. Wanna come for lunch? We found a place with amazing carrot cake!

Getting ready to leave Texas this morning. Dark and foggy. Cats have been drugged, harness on one. one last shop cart to put into my van along with a suitcase, winter coat. too bad my snow boots are up there. Should have a very white Christmas with 17" of snow!

Received an Etsy order just after midnight...with request to have it shipped "in the next hour'...hmmm, that would be a "No"

My favourite are the "here's an image of someone else's pot. Can you make one for me?" It usually means they don't want to pay the price the original was set at, and they hope because I show a lower number of Internet sales, I'll be desperate enough to do it.
