Soldiers will always be lost in the glaze battle.

  2. I had a relay fail after 72 firings. Sigh, I had put off getting spare parts to my next order.

I had to do this also. I also found out that Paragon will no longer stock parts for my Duncan kiln. I got extra parts. Expense I could do without at this time. Best wishes.

Easy but not challenging. I have discovered that needing to be challenged all of the time is a character flaw of mine.

I was wondering where the other contestants list was. I dont have any idea what was going on. I just saw vote and pressed it, then was told I wasn't a citizen. Which really erks me that they expect everyone to have facebook. I am a tech junky, worked in that industry for years, and I never had a facebook and never plan to. I agree with the payout though, who knows worth the 10 minutes to set it up though if you win!

Matthew: enjoyed watching you work. Interesting how every thrower uses their fingers, palms, side of their hands to pull, form, and shape. Almost like a throwers fingerprint.

Very nice bowls. I love the line decorations. It reminds me of Fundació Joan Miró.

  5. I got a used Venco (Australian made) vacuum pugmill. Just like the one I never used in Wellington because of pottery politcs... :-)

Pottery politics? Tell me that art is not influenced by power?

  6. I made a mug from 4 lbs of clay, mostly as a joke. One of the first things to sell...

I did that today. A nice lady on Etsy requested a 24oz coffee cup. It might be a little bigger. But she said she loves coffee that much and more. hehe

Watched the bowl and the mug videos. Just now learning about throwing. Post more if you got them, be glad to watch. Will never make a mug however, my hands are too big.

Great video Matthew! Nerd, I made a small tea set for my daughter, so it's not hard to make small things. And if all else fails, just make big mugs!
