studio and garage have turned into an assembly line of gallery prepping. Painting will begin tomorrow on the frames and an 18 piece series on immigration.

Very successful morning firing raku. So happy. still learning. I glazed a slab on the back side when I didn't like the front.and the original came out great!

one more day of raku firing, then exhibition preparations. I can squeeze in one more obvert firing too. Building frame for tile display, some risers for pieces. This gallery is usually showing paintings. Brick walls with hanger. Two good size room. The art museum is loaning me pedestals.

I can watch out the window. Wedging table is next to wheel. Cart is on the right side. Adjustable seat with storage. easy on the back. Thin bats hang from pegboard hooks. -

the kiln is front is the big one , top hat on a pulley counter weighted with a bucket of sand. The other is a used randy Broadax kiln I bought from Dale Neese in San Antonio. I use the large one for firing ceramic saguaros or large raku pieces. -

This is the side facing the back yard, kiln shed and patio. -

These are my work tables. The 4 x 4 one is on wheels. the other, 4 x 6 is on steel legs with a mold storage shelf underneath and the clay stogae carts on the floor underneath that. -

I often work out here preparing saggars,mixing clay, stripping wires, doing carpentry, whatever. -

This side is for removing hot raku pieces from the kilns inside. This is the tropics with heavy rains and hurricanes, so I keep the kilns inside. There are two heavy duty exhaust fans on each end of the sed.
