Good!!!   I do that all the time, contact the glaze people, the clay people, the kiln people.  

I bought a new Cone Art kiln a couple years ago, looked great until I changed the elements the first time. Even with being super careful I still managed to chip out some bits along the upper edges of the channels. Maybe one day L&L will be available in Canada. 

Enjoy it Callie, lots to see. I will not be there, but Ron Roy will be. I hope you two get a chance to meet.

Getting ready to submit to a small show as well.  A person just never knows.

I think an artist needs sometimes to do this, make the courageous submission rather than playing it safe. A different venue might have taken them.

I'm sorry to hear that Terri. Not a pleasant part of the ageing process for so many people or their families. It's wonderful your Mom has a caring, thoughtful daughter.

it's definitely a long grieving process - glad the bear helped a bit- maybe for both of them   Going thru this myself now with my Mom.  We bring Italian cold cuts, cheeses & olives  & sourdough bread - stuff they don't serve at her care home.

So far I am aiming for a turtle on wheels-a pull toy. 
 

I have my old kiln in the trash and my new kiln installed.  We discovered that it had been fired once and the cone had some how melted back into the cone cylinder of the kiln sitter making it unusable.  We replaced it but had to move the kilns around the new one had a short cord.  While we had the kilns out we put up another piece of cement board on the wall in the kiln room.  Once we started to move things around we discovered that our corrugated  aluminum for the Skutt envirovent need to be replaced.   Our quick and easy job turned into a marathon.  I  have a bisque firing going this morning and I am going to try wetting the wonderbats and see if that helps.    Denice

My husband has lots and lots and lots of family in Minnesota, so we will probably make a vacation/family reunion out of NCECA next year!!
 

minneapolis is next year. 

I will miss NCECA this year!  Have a great time!
 

I am shipping at cost (pre-added into the prices) through the USPO, as I mostly have small pieces. I use repurposed materials to pack and send, not the pricey flat rate boxes. 
 

UPDATE... THE SHOPPING BAGS HAVE BEEN FOUND! Fedex delivered them this afternoon. What a relief.

They are currently “investigating” whatever that means. If they can’t find the shipment, I will file a claim. The bags are worth $1k so I bet they will try not to pay it. So I’m stressed about the money. Meanwhile, I think I have enough blank bags to get through the show.  It’s not what I planned for, but I can live with blank bags for one more show. 

Culprit found ... one bad relay. New one is ordered. All the glazes still look like powder, so I think a refire will be fine. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! Benzine I pledge to make better offerings, starting now!
