  1. Marko, thank You. The middle of the paten is Watercolor Blue. Yes, Pete's Seafoam over Strontium Crystal Magic Cool. Take all of your glazes and divide them into iron and non-iron. Then try them over SCMC Iron and SCMC Cool. You will be amazed at the addition of color to your palette.
  2. Nerd, I often wonder what is my style. It seems to be all over the place. Thank You.
  3. Thank you Joseph for your kind words.
  4. Cool. Marko. Very nice shape. I too just made my first chalice and paten for my wife. She has just gotten her own church and needed the chalice and paten. Don't you love waterfall brown? Try it over strontium crystal matte for Iron. Every glaze kiln load has at least 1 piece with waterfall brown.
  5. From the album: Evolution

The exterior is MC6 Waterfall Brown over scmw.

Yes, Joseph, it is Pete's Sea Foam over SCMC. For effect, I leave a swath not glazed with the SCMC. I like doing this because it gives a whole new color, the blackened part, to the piece.
  7. Too Cool OldLady. Great work and planning for future pieces.
  8. Yes. My test tile was dipped, 2 seconds for each glaze with SG 165-170, and it came out like this piece. Spraying has been a challenge. Each time the OS2 was sprayed too thin. Spray and wait till dry 3 times for the base, Oil spot 1. Then poured the Oil Spot 2. This is very informative and worth trying Frank Vickery's way (there is a .pdf attachment about midways on this page) ---> http://cone6pots.ning.com/forum/topics/6-oil-spot-mfa-thesis

    Scc liner

Coffee mugs, soup mugs, bowls. The alumina is a bit low. Going to add 6.5% ball and test.

This is a new liner glaze for me. Selsor Chun with .3% copper carb.
  11. It is scary how thick the glaze must be to get this effect. The oil spot 1 was sprayed on. Oil spot 2 was poured on - which was a first for me - never poured glaze onto a piece. Did 3 separate pours. Will cut it back to 2.
  12. The look of this glaze reminds me of teadust glaze. It is very beautiful.

Are these shot glasses or glaze tests? They could be stacking, it looks like.
  14. Dirty kitchen towel - not much on props for photos...Not yet, anyway
