Guest JBaymore
Back from NCECA. Exhausted, as always. Now that the in-person Potters Council Advisory Board meeting held in conjunction with the annual NCECA conference is over, the new Board is seated, and the information was then released to the membership in attendance at the annual Member's Reception.............. The Potters Council is very pleased to announce that Vicky Hansen is the new Chair Elect. The two new Board members are E. Preston Rice (who will continue as CAD Forum Moderator also) and Evelyne Schoenmann, our first international member of the Advisory Board. Steven Branfman moves to one year as the Immediate Past Chair, and Kevin Crowe is the new Chair for the next year. Retiring from their terms on the Board are Diana Pancioli and Lyndsay Meiklam. Thanks go to Diana and Lyndsay for their service to the membership. Thanks also go to all of the other 2015 election candidates that offered their time and expertise to potentially give back to the membership of the Potters Council. Posting this notice is my last official act (trailing my Board 'retirement' by a couple of days) as the outgoing Immediate Past Chair and the Chair of the 2015 Nominating Committee. Serving for the past four years on the Board has been an honor. Thanks. best, ..............................john Immediate Past Chair Chair, 2015 nominating Committee
Chris Campbell
it has been a long haul for you John ... THANKS for your years of service to Potters Council. Sorry I was not there to raise a toast ... See you in Kansas City.
Steven Branfman
John,,,,you've been a driving force, steering the Potters Council forward on a positive path. Your mentorship in guiding me through my term as Chair-Elect and Chair has been invaluable to me and I could not have achieved my goals without us being side by side. Thank you for all you've done and all you'll continue to do as a Potters Council committee member.
Pres
I am particularly glad of the times you have encouraged me to run and been so patient when I would get my paper work in to you later than you or I had wished. Yes third time was a charm John. At the same time, I will put folks at ease by telling-you have been drafted to work on committees, and you will continue to work on the forum. Your expertise, and educated clearly written guidance are needed here from day to day. Thanks for it all.
ChenowethArts
Many thanks to John (@JBaymore) for his leadership in Potters Council and his dedication toward this forum. Anyone who is new to the CAC Forum should read the comments on this post: What do you get out of this forum interaction? to understand the value of the discussion here...and understand that doesn't happen without the quality of leadership that John (and others) exhibit. Kudos! To @Pres and Evelyn @Evelyne Schoenmann, congratulations on winning the advisory board seats. I threw my hat into the ring for Advisory Board this year for the first time and in doing so, learned more of things the Potters Council does. Obviously, I did not win, but I feel great about the choices that the membership made. Preston and Evelyn are approachable, engaged, and professional in their discussion...I look forward to their leadership and support them both wholeheartedly! -Paul

Marcia Selsor
Thanks to all the departing Board members including John, Diana Pancioli who dedicated her service to mentoring members and Lindsay Mieklam who wrote several articles for Potters Pages. Thanks to all of you. And Pres, the committees get some good work done like the 'making a difference award' from the Awards committee. Mark C.
I want to thank all who serve- as the potters council would only be an idea if not for the all who put the time in. That would include all past efforts as well. Thanks for your hummugous long term commitment John to this organization. Its also so rare to vote and actually have the folks you vote for actually get elected Congrats as well to the new board members. Mark

Marko
Hey, I must have missed something, as always, but I couldn't past the opportunity to wish the retiring leaders a big thank you. Being new is always a strange feeling, but I felt welcome and I am sure it was because of these leaders. And a big congratulations to the new leaders. From the sounds of it, you have a big wheel to keep turning. I have met some of you and you have all made me feel welcome as well. I am looking forward to talking with all of you at some point. Thanks for the kind words Chris, Steven, Pres, and Paul. best, ........................john PS. Pres... that is committee ....... not committeeS . Thanks John for your kindness and advice.
